Welcome to LORDEC - the Learning Object Research, Development and Evaluation Collaboratory - housed at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) in Oshawa, Ontario Canada.

LORDEC conducted research on the effectiveness of learning objects in classrooms, developed models and processes for building learning objects and also evaluated the elements of instructional design which contibute to well-designed learning objects. Research is no longer being carried on. This site remains without any updating.
