"I’m very proud to have graduated from the Education and Digital Technologies program at UOIT. The knowledge I gained from this program is invaluable and I am thankful to UOIT. It has allowed me to further develop my professional knowledge as an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) while I was teaching internationally. I am forever thankful to the faculty members at UOIT for helping me accommodate my love for overseas teaching along with achieving my professional aspirations."

"It has taken me 25 years in education to convince myself that I was capable, creative and resourceful enough to dive into a master's program at UOIT. I applied and have actually surprised myself at how engaged, motivated and enthused I am in my courses. The readings, online collaborating, assignments, research and networking opportunities align with my goals, interests and needs."

- Brian Jones, Principal and Leadership Officer

Janet Garner

"I just wanted to share with you that I have just completed my first semester for the MEd and loved it! It was a lot of work, but I enjoyed it so much. I have learned so much in one semester that I plan to share some 'MEd learning moments' with my team at work as part of our regular team meetings - I can't keep all this great knowledge to myself! Since we all have headsets with mics, the webcams and opportunity to chat, we are able to see everyone, we get to know each other and it's much closer to the face-to-face experience than I initially thought. It's actually very cool and I would highly recommend it."

"What I've appreciated most in my journey at UOIT is the focus on how we can revolutionize the learning process and make it relevant and meaningful for 21st-century students. I've been able to focus on this in my classes through deliberative conversations with fellow students and teachers and in the individual and collaborative projects we produce. The support I've received from the instructors in each course I've taken, and their willingness to engage students in open and honest dialogue, has been so refreshing and has been a huge motivating factor for me in my studies."

- Laura Morrison, Teacher and IT Trainer

"UOIT’s MEd/MA programs are an excellent fit for teaching professionals. I've added so many tools to my teaching toolkit that really work in my classrooms, as well as web-based learning tools, which I've been excited to learn and am happy to share with my colleagues. I've gained insight into learning theory, which has given me new perspective on the students I work with every day."

"What I like about the Master of Education (MEd) program is its focus on 21st-century learning, where digital technologies are used to apply knowledge to new situations, analyze information, collaborate, solve problems and make informed decisions. As a result of this program, I feel more confident utilizing digital technologies to achieve learning objectives in the workplace."
