Kathleen Tearne

Kathleen was born in Birmingham, England and raised in Toronto and Oakville. She attended Lakeshore Teachers' College and attained a BA in English at York University and M.ED at OISE. After many years of teaching elementary and high school, Kathleen became a secondary Vice-Principal and elementary Principal for the York Catholic District School Board. Kathleen was also a Course Director at the Faculty of Education at York University and taught practicum courses in Curriculum (PJ) and English ABQ courses.
Kathleen retired in 2005 and maintains her professional interests in mentoring, literacy, diversity, and learning organizations.
Personal interests include literature, interior design, travel, and the arts.
