Gail is a retired educator from the Toronto District School Board, having spent most of her career with the former Scarborough Board of Education. She taught all elementary grades and was a Special Education consultant prior to becoming a Vice-Principal and Principal.
Throughout her career, her particular areas of interest included Literacy programming, Program Assisted Schools, Diversity, Native Studies and NSL, and Special Education models of instruction and delivery. Gail was involved for many years in mentorship projects, new teacher training, and leadership programs. She works occasionally as a "supply" principal and vice-principal, and interviews prospective candidates for teaching positions with the TDSB. Recently, she enjoyed interviewing teacher candidates for the UOIT Faculty of Education program.
Gail is looking forward to her role as a Faculty Advisor, and finds time in retirement to pursue hobbies such as golf, gardening, cooking, and reading.
