"The Charter in the Classroom: Students,Teachers and Rights" (CC: STAR) is an interactive, digital Learning Tool designed to help teacher candidates and teachers in the profession understand the
Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The developed modules will result in a set of flexible learning resources delivering foundational
Charter rights education. The program's content will include information on the guarantee of rights and freedoms, the fundamental freedoms, the legal rights and the equality rights. The format supports a variety of learning styles and permits individualized learning or class-based delivery, with the modular approach allowing learners to focus on one or all of the
Charter

"Who Speaks for Education? Dialogues with Teaching Reformers, Past and Present" Education has always been a fertile ground for debate. This is, to a great extent, due to the contributions made by educators who have actively involved themselves in various reform movements. But, what compelled them to undertake these activities? What roles did they see themselves playing? What were their philosophical bases? And, finally, what do they see as their legacy for the present teaching population? This ongoing study seeks to answer these questions using a "life history" research method with one educator at a time. Included in this study are men and women who have contributed to board and district-wide reforms to curriculum, teaching, student integration and other school improvements. (
